Eleanor Greer (Eleanor G Mazzini, b. Manhattan, NY) is an artist from Southern California and currently based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Her work consists primarily of paintings that stem from direct observation and recording of the specifics of urban spaces undergoing flux. Eleanor makes paintings that explore her curiosity of the built environment as it abuts, interacts with and stamps over the natural world with a questioning lens towards material usage. On-site drawings and photographs form the research lexicon used when composing a new painting. Eleanor has her MFA in Painting from San Diego State University.
