The background of this painting is multi layers with recycled paper with a glicée technique, acrylic and lime wash paint which has a very matt and earthy finish, I like the duality of paint finishes. The crow is a mix of gold powder which gives it a wonderful glow and acrylic paint. 12 x 9 x 2.5 inches.
It's moody and dark, but the gold will catch the light beautifully, the nice pop of matt cobalt blue.
I would say this piece revealed itself through the process of the search from beginning to end. The artist's process sometimes you do not know where you will end up.
The birch floating frame is stained black with Japanese ink to match the art.
Hand painted birch frame. 2.5 inches deep.
