Amy and I have been working together since 2004. We met on a job site, both as faux finishers. I was hired by the designers and she was hired by the client, it could have been a quite an awkward affair, however we really connected. We since have been supporting each other‘s journeys as artists and when I opened L’Atelier in 2016 Amy was one of the first artist here.
Amy Pachowicz owns Yoga Arts and Citrine Spa in Point Loma and lives with her husband and stepson. Her paintings mesh imagery from printed texts with patternwork and open space. She is interested in how the Industrial Revolution, printing and the manufacturing of goods has distanced humans from materials, nature and the consciousness of objects in this world of lightly touching things.
