I started painting very early and was fortunate to be in a Parisian school, Decroly, that pushed the art in painting, music, theatre and pottery as early as three years old. Took professional classes as early as 8 years old and studied at Parson School of Design in New York and Central Saint Martins in London.
My work varies between very loose modern, moody abstract, others are more graphic and recently I started painting portraits during the pandemic in the impressionist style to reconnect with friends. I think my paintings are a sorts of meditations. I want he viewer to relax in my work. I like to stare at a composition for a long while. Some paintings take months, I usually have at least 5 going on at the same time. I watch walk away a lot and do nothing until some form of expression comes to mind. I love color, surprise if I can expressed it, texture.
Recently, during 2020 and 2021, I have been painting oil portrait on commission, you will find examples here.
