I started selling furniture to get by and we realized we could split the house in half. We rented upstairs to a mother and son, and we lived downstairs. We opened a hole at one end of the house so we could access the kitchen and bathroom. We used a ladder to go upstairs through the kitchen floor and since the cat adapted we left it as is. The ladder is what got us through.Meanwhile we fought the bank… and won.
